Louise, Mel, Laura, Dave & I wandered around London for a few hours today visiting locations from the movie. We didn't make it all the way to Heathrow and if the wind chill factor hadn't increased dramatically mid-afternoon we might have seen a few more, but we did cover off a couple. We might need to do a take two.
- Downing Street (residence of Hugh Grant as Prime Minister)
- Hamleys, National Gallery, Trafalgar Square and Regent (opening London Scenes of London)
- Grosvenor Chapel in Mayfair (it was closed so can't so for sure but we think this is where Keira was married)
- St Christophers Place (Emma Thompson and Alan Rickman's characters meet here before Christmas shopping and the Mr Bean scene). We lunched at Carluccios which is in the background of the shot.
...Westminster Boating Base is where Keira Knightly and her husband host their wedding reception and where the dweeby English bloke insults the caterer's food.
