It's a lovely time to be in London right now with the gorgeous autumn foliage everywhere and clean, crisp air - with mostly blue skies. The last few weeks have seen me comfort in the cosy indoor homes of friends for dinner - at Laleh's, Laura's, Juleen's and Stuart's (it's really my turn next time!); savouring the delights of some professional chefs as well (I finally got to have my long-awaited dinner at Roast above the Borough Market!), and doing a few activities in aid of my cultural education as always.
Now that the weather is chillier I expect more indoor activities will take place. I might even try my hand at entertaining at home (I just bought the new Nigella book so there is some hope!). And soon expect the transition from trench coat to winter coat to take place.
Out to lunch on Sunday at The Cow in Notting Hill with Laleh...
