Loire Valley

Dave, Nat, Maria, Laura & I took last Friday off to head to the Loire Valley in France to make the most of the May long weekend.

We had an entertaining and fun weekend soaking up all the Loire has to offer. We saw 3 of the 300 odd chateaux in the area – the grounds, architecture and furnishings were all pretty amazing. Along the way we polished off a bottle of rosé from a cellar door with a picnic lunch, ate crepes, enjoyed the passing scenery from the car, had a few good 3 course dinners, tasted local wines at a festival (4 euros for all you can taste!) and definitely enjoyed each other’s company.
