Celebrating apples and birthdays

On this day we celebrated Apple Day at Borough Market and Juleen's birthday.

For me, Apple Day was less about the peeling competition and apple bobbing and more about a new season of mulled wine and warm spiced cider (which is made from apples thank you!) to warm the cockles. I did have apple sauce on my pork spit roast burger though!

Afterwards we went to a random art installation in an old council estate flat which someone had filled with water and some chemicals which grew blue crystals and meant we could don some wellies. No doubt the least gloomy council flat in town.

And back to celebrating Jules' birthday, a bunch of us went to Brick Lane for a curry and a cobra.
