Cycling in the New Forest

Laleh, Ana and I went to Brockenhurst in the centre of the New Forest for the weekend. After arriving on the early morning Saturday train and checking into our B&B, we picked up picnic supplies in the village and collected our bikes.

We rode the 'ornamental trail' through the forest for several hours past some lovely scenery dotted with wild ponies. It was a really lovely afternoon weather wise - very lucky considering it's early Spring. Naturally my wheel got a puncture on the rocky track just as we were stopping for lunch. Between the three of us though, we managed to work out how to successfully seal a puncture and change a tyre! We were very proud of ourselves! Thank god for google & iPhones ;-)

It was brilliant fun! I loved being outdoors after so much time cooped up inside over Winter.

Last night we had dinner at a local bistro - Gordon Ramsay could have some fun pulling it apart! Today we slept in, had a full english breaky, and drank copious amounts of tea while reading the papers as well as briefly checking out Lymington.
