David's visit and a weekend in Rye

Two weeks after I got back from Australia David arrived in London for a 10 day visit. I was having a busy time at work but we made the most of the evenings and managed to squeeze in a few martinis at Dukes and some lovely dinners. Less Michelin stars on the itinerary this time but a mix of new restaurants, and some new dinner guests as well just to mix up the evenings.

On the restaurant tour this time:
The Ivy
Bistrot Bruno Loubet
Little Social
Foxlow
Hoi Polloi
Balthazar
Pollen Street Social

Lunching at Balthazar

On the weekend in between, we took the train to a small village in East Sussex, called Rye. We stayed in a good boutique hotel, potted around the shops, spent a lot of time in the pubs (it was pouring with rain), and glimpsed Camber Sands beach from the window of a taxi (I'll go back in Summer).
