Tallin Trip, my first time in the Balkans

Jaimee and I had been talking about going to Tallinn ever since a girl in a coffee shop persuaded us that it was a must-see destination. For the second long weekend in May we made it! Along with Damian and Ollie.

Tallinn's old town is pretty and charming, and far more delightful than I expected with the stag do reputation it has. It reminded me a lot of Krakow. We had a lovely weekend spent strolling around the city. The predicted rain didn't fall so it was mostly very sunny albeit still chilly.

Our AirBNB was in the Toompea area, up the hill and right near the two viewing platforms which was a good spot.  We happened to be there over the Eurovision weekend so after dinner on Saturday night we watched it live from a local bar. And saw Australia (honorary guests) come in fifth place, while Estonia didn't get a place as hoped (we were hoping to celebrate with the locals!).
