Dunja was staying in Vienna for a week so I flew over to join her for the weekend. It's a quiet but pretty city to wander around and we had a lovely time together.
After I arrived on Friday afternoon we went straight out to a nice bar set by the river. It was a mild evening so we could sit outside while sipping our way through a bottle of bubbles. A short walk away, we had enormous veal schnitzels at Figlmuller. I couldn't even finish mine.
Saturday started off perfectly with brunch under the trees of a former palace in the centre of town. Afterwards we took a long walk all through town into Neubau district and the Museum Quarter. We popped into the beer festival for a quick stein.

On Saturday night we went the Vienna State Opera House to see the ballet Le Corsaire. Its a very impressive building and a great experience. We strolled home afterwards.

We only had half a day on Sunday so we were up relatively early for breakfast at the Palm House. We went to the very old Cafe Hawelka and then on to patisserie Demel for strudel and vanilla slice. Before we new it, we were racing back to the hotel and the airport. It was over all too quickly!
