A diary for me, my friends and my family. Started with life in London (all 13 years of it), and continues with life back in Australia.

Autumn is here
I spent the first Autumn weekend in London. Shopped in Covent Garden with Laura. Saw a Beck gig on Saturday night with Stuart. He had his puppetron show with him again (same as at V) - great gig. Stuart and I went to join Marc for his 30th birthday drinks at a pub near Leicester Square. Had a great night out - tequila and coronas flowing. Today I went with Louise to Buckingham Palace for a tour. The State Rooms are opened to the public during the Summer (while the Queen is holidaying in Scotland). Its pretty special - all very well done - and surprisingly not ostentatious. We saw a collection of many of her evening gowns which were on display. Not to my taste really but interesting all the same! And we saw the recent portrait of the Queen by Rolf Harris. Afterwards we lunched in St James park and I headed to The White Horse pub at Parsons Green for some goodbye drinks for Andrew (Stu & Damian's house mate). Lovely weekend. And made the most of the good weather while we still have it.
