A-rambling-we-go

A good-sized posse headed to Essex for the first ramble of the year last Saturday. Walking through the snow was soooo pretty - snow seems to add a certain charm to everything it falls on!

My new outdoor shoes, while not at all glam, turned out to be a worthwhile purchase as some of the fields were flooded with water from the melting snow.

We stopped for lunch at the Fox & Hounds pub in Eastwick - it served as an excellent pit stop before continuing on in the afternoon. Another fun day in the great outdoors!

Footnote for the rest of the weekend... Saturday night started at the Champion pub in Bayswater and finished up at the Notting Hill Arts Club in aid of a friend's birthday. Sunday then required quite a long sleep in ;-) but a chic flick and fish and chips for tea with my new flat mates saved the day!
