These boots were made for walking

The first ramble of the year, and the last one for regulars Pauline & Maria, took us 1 1/2 hours south of London into Kent. It was a fairly easy 14km ramble, a little wintery - my boots and jeans are covered in mud - and good fun.

The pub landlord was a mad keen sportsman and served some pretty good grub to refuel us for the last few kms as we headed into Canterbury for a squiz at the cathedral before coming back to the big smoke.

I'm looking forward to getting another year's wear out of my walking boots and enjoying all that fresh air.
