BBQ Summer update

Because the weather has been so consistently sunny and warm, summer 2010 has become known as a 'bbq summer' in England. So last weekend I did just that and got out into my garden where I've been spending quite a bit of time and had a bbq for dinner!

Another garden bbq took place last weekend but this time at Laura & Barry's place to celebrate their engagement. Earlier that day Laura and I went to the V&A to see an exhibition of Grace Kelly's fashion. We even had a paddle in the pond in the gallery's courtyard to cool off afterwards!

Making the most of the long, light evenings, I picnicked in Regent's Park after work last week before going to the open air theatre to see A Comedy of Errors. It was a lovely night and a very amusing show. There's a newly refurbished pub called The Phene with a nice outdoor area only a short walk from my office so I've been there a couple of times to meet friends for drinks.

On Friday night we had Laleh's 30th birthday party at her house by the river in Putney with lots of champagne and cake - and dancing on the coffee table! Last night we continued the celebration with drinks and cabaret in Soho (read: trashy drag show) which was fun night out.

And now I better get back outside!
