On Friday afternoon a couple of weeks ago, I dashed out of work to spend the afternoon among the gardens and flowers of the Chelsea Flower Show. Stu, Kris, her friend Rebecca, Ana and I politely elbowed our way through the crowds to see the show gardens and artisanal gardens. We saw the most exotic and curious plants in the pavilion and I had my first Pimm's of the season. We had dinner at the Cadogan arms on the King's Road and that was the start to the first proper sunny and warm weekend we've had in London.

Saturday was chilled out with brunch with Mailie (at The Table in Southwark which I do not recommend), some shopping and a facial at Liz Earle. To continue the relaxation that evening, my flatmate Victoria and I lounged on the couches to watch a DVD in the light filled room with the windows wide open - a rare treat!
Sunday saw me do a load of chores, get my nails painted at the local 'american (aka vietnamese) nails' place, and reward myself with a Pimm's in the garden. I brutelly attacked the shrubs and ivy last summer but they are back with such a vengeance I thought I might be attacked myself given their now trifford-like state.
I sought refuge at Stu & Kris' far more civilised garden for a BBQ dinner. We had enough food and wine to feed half a dozen people so we drank the wine, left what was the rest of the food, and said goodbye to the weekend looking forward to more of the same over the coming months.
