Paralympic athletics at the Olympic Stadium

Last Friday night a bunch of us went to the Olympic Stadium to see one of the last nights of the athletics for the Paralympics. I hadn't been during the Olympics so was really keen to check it out.

I was so impressed inside the stadium. It was huge but I felt close to the action despite that. And the atmosphere was electric.  I can only imagine what it must have been like on that Super Saturday during the Olympics when I was watching the big live screen at Potter's Field.

We saw a mix of long jump, sprints, cycling, discus and shot put with world records being broken left, right and centre. It was an excellent night and a memorable experience.
