This morning Laura and I had brunch at a gallery cafe. The menu was simple and very reasonably priced. I had banana waffles and a cappuccino. The front room we sat it in was a little disappointing, but the room at the back has three glass walls and high ceilings overlooking the garden and is a really great space.
The gallery space next door, currently featuring an interesting installation by Rashid Johnson (with persian rugs, hanging plants, wooden day beds covered in zebra hide and large paintings to create a kind of imaginary psychotherapy drop in salon), is equally as impressive and an unexpected surprise for Saturday morning.
