12 months and now Coronavirus...

This week marks the year anniversary of my arrival in Melbourne.
The irony of spending the past 12 months in this city in my own kind of isolation now culminating in two weeks (so far) of official social distancing & self isolation due to Coronavirus is not lost on me at all.

2020 had been starting to pick up. Moving house and being so close to the Botanic Gardens has been really helped lift my spirits. And I had been so looking forward to my holidays.

But now the gardens are closed and I have to cancel my Easter holiday and June holidays to the UK for Euro Summer. Such a massive shame and really gutting.

I should be grateful that I have a job when so many others are losing theirs. And at the opposite end of my street to the Gardens is the Yarra River so I still have an outdoor space to escape to.
