House Number 18

My tally* takes this new apartment of mine in South Yarra to a total of 18 addresses in my life.

I wasn't planning on a move in Melbourne at all but the owners sold my South Melb abode so it had to happen. The benefits at least are that I like the art deco building and apartment, it's a better (slightly smaller) size for me so I am not overspending, and with the botanic gardens at the end of my street my walk to work is still enjoyable, albeit now 40 mins. Oh and I like that it's called Allambi, the name of a street we're often on at Noosa (sending good holiday vibes).

Moving is one of those tasks, that even though I feel expert in, I am very happy to throw money at to make as smooth as possible. A combination of relocation agent + packers + movers (providing refundable boxes) minimises the hassle. Broadband and TV connections somehow remain the largest obstacle 😩. Money can buy almost total happiness in this scenario.

I moved in on the 8th Feb and had a 2-day storm of boxes and unpacking to get it all finished before going to the Mornington Peninsula and having my first guest, Dave stay for a few nights.
