One of my very favourite things to do is eat out (in case you hadn't picked up on that over the years). Between impromptu dinners and sunday lunches I've had some good experiences. And it's just the beginning!
Andrew Edmunds, Soho - a lovely intimate restaurant that's easy to walk by but serves lovely food and wine
The Garrison, London Bridge - cosy public house with good gastro food - I'll definitely go back
Fifteen, Old Street - Jamie Oliver's restaurant, the 6 courses were fabulous, wine was great and the service terrific as well, worth the £97!
Neal Street Restaurant, Covent Garden - treated to Antonio Carlucci's cooking by Marc's work
The Horseshoe, Hampstead - a really good gastropub for dinner
Canteen, Spitalfields - excellent British food in very mod restaurant
Quaglinos, Green Park - my first Conran restaurant and i was the only one who didn't order steak
Don Zoko, Kingly St - deserves a mention for great Japanese at great prices
Babylon Roof Gardens, High St Ken - nice venue, good food, bad service & live music was too loud
Tamesa, Oxo Tower - good view, good food, even better ice cream
Favela Chic, Old Street - french and brazilian rolled into one works really well, excellent cocktails
Le Pigalle , Piccadilly - cause it was my b'day
ICA , The Mall - cool venue for the arts with a nifty restaurant & bar
Abeno Too , Leicester Sq - i've been here 3 times at least. they serve my favourite japanese dish, okonomiyaki
Busbaba Eat-thai , Soho - best budget eat to date - laleh and I caught up here
Pierre Victoire , Soho - very reasonably priced french food if you get there by 7pm - thanks Kayo
Blah Blah Blah , Shepherd's Bush - yummy vegetarian. no gwenyth on this eve but 3 tolerant housemates
Blue Elephant , Fulham - good thai food in OTT environs
Old Ship , Hammersmith - everyone knows this place but it was the first proper pub i went to when i arrived and its by the river
Sunday Lunches
Odette's, Primrose Hill - again no celebrity spotting but a very posh lunch
Galvin, Baker Street - really lovely French restaurant
Carluccios, St Christophers Place - technically not one of our long Sunday lunches but worth a mention for a great pit stop
Gilgamesh, Camden - disappointing venue and food I'm afraid
Duke of Cambridge , Islington - great gastropub that my cousin chefs at
St John's Bread , Spitalfields - very interesting menu
The Little Square , Shepherd Market - first sunday lunch with laura
(I realise this is probably of no use to any of you, since you don't live here but it's handy for me! I'll take you when you visit me!)
