Apologies for such a long delay in writing and replying but my computer died a few weeks ago and only came to life again on Sunday evening.
The highlight of the past month or two has to have been my holiday to Croatia. It was just great. And not in the least because I managed to get a tan for I think the second time in my life! I’ve updated my blog now so you can see the pics and read a bit about it if you care to. The link’s http://www.emma-in-london.blogspot.com .
The last two weekends since returning have been in London. I went to dinner with friends at the Globe Restaurant and saw a midnight play at the theatre there – Antony & Cleopatra.
The Sunday before last, a bunch of us went to ‘Toast’, an Australian food & wine event in Regent’s Park. Plenty of Australian wine flowing, and plenty of sun to enjoy it under. V. nice afternoon. Afterwards Stuart, Damian & I kept going and went to Somerset House to see the Lemonheads play. It was like a time warp back to the 90s – I don’t think they’ve had a new album since then but that’s okay because I still like the music.

(this is us at Toast)
I’ve booked a bunch of plays to go to in the coming months – I wasn’t getting enough culture – and started with a play called Donkey’s Years that I saw with Kristy. It starred one of the guys from The Full Monty and another from Four Weddings & a Funeral. Wouldn’t get that in Brisbane!
This past weekend was a quiet one. Movie on Sat night in central London. And shopping in Covent Garden and a wander around Hampstead Heath with Laura on Sunday.
Next weekend will be another in London in the lead up to August which will see me go to Brussels with Laura, to Bristol to visit Alana & Jules and see the hot air balloon festival , to V Festival to celebrate Stuart’s 30th (and see one of the best line ups ever), and go somewhere in Europe for the last long weekend of the year with Laura. And that’s just the weekends ;-). I will also change jobs but I’m still not sure what I’ll be going to yet.
Hope you are all well and the biting cold isn’t getting to you - we are still well and truly in Summer mode here. Oh and in a drought!
