This year has flown by. I don't think I could possibly have imagined the past 10 months. Moving over here has been everything I wanted it to be. And yet the coming year holds so much more possibility. My highly skilled visa application is coming together and I'll submit that in the next month or two. All going well, my life here will be uninterrupted. I have high hopes for getting to know London better, seeing more of Europe and challenging myself more at work.
I've met some lovely people here and made some new friends, and not in the least developed an amazing friendship with my bosom buddy, Laura which has made living in London all the more enjoyable.
Some London favourites for the year
- having access to so many different cultural experiences: especially the wildlife photography of the yr exhibit, avenue q musical, frost/nixon and rock n roll plays, seeing the tate modern, and everything at the V&A
- eating out at so many great places
- strolling the borough and portobello rd markets
- and just for being completely new: turkish baths at bayswater, tennis in marc's shared back garden, sitting on a couch in a cinema with a bottle of wine, going to the biggest street party (Notting Hill Carnivale) in Europe, and touring castles and palaces

That's what we love about you Emma. Cool enough to see Radiohead. Daggy enough to be a beaniehead. Happy 2007 - Dennis
