Christmas Day in London

Xmas was brought in with Marc and Pauline who came over for a very sophisticated spread of pizza and red wine (first new year's resolution is learn to cook). And then I had a really lovely start to Christmas Day with the grand opening of presents which Mum sent to me. The fact that I am many many miles away doesn't mean I don't do well in the present stakes! So thanks Mum!

I made my way to Vicki's place in Maida Vale for a Christmas feast. She and a bunch of her darling friends know how to celebrate. There were bottles of champagne, chocolates and crackers galore. And a meal prepared by Bonnie and Co that would put Claridges to shame.

It was a really nice way to spend the day if not in the company of my family, and goes down as one of the longest lunches ever! Thanks for having me Vicki!

Today I kept the not-so-traditional tradition of going to the movies on Boxing Day with my Mum alive by going to see the Christmas flick, The Holiday, with Pauline. A proper rom com which managed about 2 stars and a bonus half for the perfect 'happy ending'.

Belinda & Jeremy arrive this evening (you can't tell right now but this is me packing for Edinburgh)...roll on New Year's Eve!
