It's been some time since we rambled, but a group of us reconvened yesterday for a 15km ramble in Hertfordshire around Baldock and Ashwell. The day was much warmer than anticipated - perfect for fresh air and exercise. We walked through quite a few wheat fields with stacks of hay bales and stopped to pick blackberries and sloe berries (to make a special kind of gin at christmas!) along the way. It reminded me of the bramble-picking scenes in Enid Blyton's stories.
I was so busy picking berries I forgot to stop and take any photos I'm afraid...
