Laura was calm all morning while we had breakfast and our hair and make up done at the hotel. Before long we set off for the Hospitium in the city's botanic gardens with Laura (and the rest of us!) looking beautiful.
The ceremony was short and sweet - I particularly liked the Rob Ryan poem which I thought suited L & B very well (below). The weather was dry so we could be outside for drinks and photos, the venue was brightly decorated with seasonal Autumnal flowers matching the bouquets, the food was yummy - all the elements came together for a perfect day.
It was a terrific weekend celebrating in York and surrounded by great friends.
Can we, shall we? One day, very soon, let us go away together just you and me. Call in sick and go to the sea and hold hands all day. Eat our sandwiches on the train, get drunk on fresh air and come home tired and never tell anyone ever.
