Decadent Saturday Out

Jaimee and I spent a lovely afternoon together on Saturday. We started with lunch in Mayfair at Aubaine. They have a good menu and I would happily have ordered lots of things but I was feeling like treating myself so went with the lobster spaghetti and a glass of Chenin Blanc. Jaimee had a tuna steak and fresh vegetables with her Sauv Blanc. Not ready to hit the shops just yet, we finished with a glass of dessert wine and passionfruit cheesecake each.

Afterwards we shopped on Bond Street where I continued to treat myself with a new top at APC (one of my favourites) and new shoes. Then it was on to Selfridges where Jaimee replaced everything in her make up bag!

Now several hours later, we were in need of refreshment so popped upstairs to Hix's Champagne and Oyster Bar. Overlooking one of the most expensive handbag department in London, we ordered a dainty cocktail called Knickerbocker a la Monsiuer (coincidentally the same colour as the jeans I resisted at APC), some olives and light pastry cases of smoked salmon, chives and creme fraiche.

It couldn't have been a lovelier day and was just the pick me up I needed!
