Back to the Electric

There are some great cinemas in London which make movie-going a brilliant experience.

The Electric in Notting Hill re-opened after a post-fire refurb and I went back for the first time tonight to see Lincoln with Stu & Kris.

It has all the same features - the individual leather couches and footrests, side tables with lamps and the bar at the back - but refreshed and with some new finishing touches: cashmere blankets, old-school pick 'n' mix sweets and, the latest London fad, freshly baked donuts.

How could cinema ever be dead when it's like this?!*

*perhaps when it's £18 a pop ;-)
