Fortieth Birthday - Weekend in Puglia

The day after my birthday Ollie and I went to Puglia for a long weekend and Stuart and Kris joined us a day later. We spent three nights at a very lovely masseria (farmhouse), Lama Di Luna. It was in the middle of farmland and a very pretty setting.

During the day we visited Polignano a mare (a cute cove), the village of Alberobello known for it's Trulli houses, and the nearby hilltown of Minervino Murgo. And spent several hours lounging by the pool.

We had breakfast and dinner there each evening. Dinner was 4 courses, home made by the chef. I loved the food. One night we watched a film in their small cinema, and another hung out in the library.

It was a very relaxing weekend away and the perfect way to complete my birthday celebrations.
