Mornington Peninsula Escape

Wine tasting is, unsurprisingly, a far superior way to start the week than a 9am agency staff meeting.
Last Monday I joined Dave & Piero and some friends - MC & Brett, Pauline & Stephen and Jayde - for a 3 day break on the Mornington Peninsula exploring the southern wine tasting region.

Monday's tasting and lunch was Port Philip Estate and it was a big hit. Tuesday we were at it again with another tasting and long lunch, this time at Jackalope. We stayed in a big house in Merricks North so retired there after lunch each day with a newly purchased case of wine and played uno, boules, pool and swam in the pool.

After a much-needed coffee and an egg & bacon roll on Wednesday morning, Dave, Piero and I went to Point Leo Estate for another tasting and tour of their sculpture garden. Then it was back to Melbourne. Dave stayed on for a couple more days with me. We hung out in South Melbourne, and went to the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and dinner at Park Street Pasta & Wine to wrap up his visit.
