Exploring Devon with Becky & Laura

Laura's housemate Becky invited us to stay at her family's place for the weekend in Germansweek, Devon. We had a lovely time seeing some of the sights of the county and meeting her family.

On Saturday we drove north to the coast and visited Clovelly, had a pub lunch at Hartland Quay, walked around and had tea in Boscastle (famous for 2004 flash floods which saw immense devastation but no fatalities), and saw King Arthur's ruined castle in Tintagel.

Sunday saw us sleep in after a night of board games & charades. And then a drive around the countryside further south of Germansweek. This drive took us past pretty scenery - rolling green fields and newborn lambs running amuck (Mum, you would have loved it). And Lynford Gorge in the afternoon was pretty too. All that fresh air & nature was lovely even if the weather went from sunshine to sleet showers without notice! We finished Sunday with a lovely roast care of Mrs Greenaway before heading back to London.
