Conran experience

I arranged dinner last Thursday night with a bunch of 20 girls (no, not all Australian - there were a couple of girls from this part of the world – thank you Flavia, Helen & Sian!) at Quaglino’s in St James. Apart from walking through the Conran store in Tokyo, this was my first taste of the British Conran empire and I wasn’t disappointed.

Our table (their pic not mine!)

I started with a glass of champers at the bar. I had rock oysters for entrée, sweet corn and spring onion risotto (the rest of the table ordered steak!) as a main accompanied by a quaffable sav blanc, and did my patriotic duty by ordering pavlova for dessert. All delightful. The centre table in the middle of the restaurant was a great spot for us to sit and enjoy the surrounds and made for a lively night.

So thanks to all for coming!
