Well September just flew by so I missed my not-so-regular monthly email home. I guess I’ve done a bit since I last wrote although oddly I feel like it’s been a quiet few weeks recently.
A quick summary for you:
- V Festival
- Notting Hill carnival
- a couple of trips to the theatre
- a few music gigs
- tour of Buckingham Palace
- weekend lunches and mid-week dinners catching up with friends
- a weekend in Brussels
- Oktoberfest in Munich
- and I started a regular pilates class
This weekend I'll be in London, trying to cross off some of the many 'things to do' on my list. On the cards is a visit to the Royal Academy of Arts to see a Modigliani exhibition and maybe a trip to the Columbia Road flower markets which I haven’t walked through yet.
Selfridges and Harrods have had their Christmas decos up for the last few weeks so we are in the count down towards the end of the year (mind you there is still Halloween to cash in on). So coming up I have weekend trips to Paris, Dorset (see the family again) and Florence which will take me up to December. I will see in the new year from Edinburgh with Belinda & Jeremy and Dunja & Adam and a few other friends which will be great (I know, talk about organised). And I will join BK & Jez in Budapest for my first weekend away of the new year.
Everything continues to go well over here and am starting to look at my next visa so I can stay beyond February (apparently these applications are a nightmare so I need to start now) and continue my mini-breaks to Europe.
Bye for now! Hope you’re all keeping well. Look forward to hearing your news as always.
