A very British Royal Wedding

The excitement leading up to William and Kate’s wedding on Friday had to be seen to be believed. The entire city was alive and buzzing; shop windows were dressed with bunting and signs congratulating the couple, flags hung down Regent Street and everyone was talking about it.

A group of six of us went to the Bluebird on King’s Road in Chelsea to watch the telecast in their courtyard decked out with union jack bunting and tablecloths. It had a really fun vibe with the other guests clapping and cheering – and standing for the national anthem! We thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing from champagne breakfast when the guests arrived at Westminster Abbey to Pimm’s and coronation chicken for the balcony kiss (x2!).
