In the lead up to Christmas I had my annual lunch with friends, this year at The Sun & Lion in Highgate which was fantastic. It's one of my favourite traditions!
This Christmas I had 10 days off work which was much needed and a very enjoyable break.
David arrived in the days leading up to Christmas Eve and we kicked off what is now our annual restaurant tour.
Our tour took us to Rotorino, the Michelin-starred Cinnamon Club where Dunja joined us, Aqua at The Shard, Gordon Ramsay's London House, Heston Blumenthal's Hind's Head, a third visit to Pollen Street Social and to the new italian restaurant Sartoria.
I cooked my annual Boxing Day roast chicken, and we went to see Guy & Dolls musical at The Savoy and the latest Star Wars movie. We squeezed in a couple of pre-dinner cocktails at Duke's and a lunch at Cecconi's as always too.

For the last few days of our holiday, Ollie and I spent a relaxing few days getting to know Finsbury Park and settling into the new flat. We had a little pub crawl and roast to check out the best locals. I went to visit Laleh and Jesse and their new baby. We also made it to The Queen's Gallery exhibition of Vermeer's Masters of the Everyday with afternoon tea at The Wolseley.
