As part of Ollie's birthday celebrations we joined his family for a weekend in Northampton. Ollie's dad treated us all to a Falconry experience which was entirely new for me. We all took turns having a mix of owls and hawks fly towards us and swoop down to land on our arms. It was quite fun seeing them up close. I thought the owls in particular were beautiful to look at. We had a couple of lovely dinners, and a walk to a pub lunch. We also stopped and picked some sloe berries down a lane way so we could make sloe gin at home.
